Here is an awesome homemade green alien slime recipe!  It is based on the green alien in Toy Story.

Did you know Toy Story 4 is coming out in 2019?

That is very exciting news if you have any Toy Story fans in your house!  If you haven’t seen the trailer for the new movie yet, you can check it out below.

Do you think it will be as good as the other Toy Story movies?

This homemade slime recipe is super easy to make and your kids will love helping you make it.

If you are concerned about borax, this recipe doesn’t use it.  Soap colorant was used to create the green color.

Have you used soap colorant before?  It is safe for your skin, doesn’t dye your hands and it is amazing how many different colors are available.

If you are looking for a fun, green alien slime recipe, this is it!

    Toy Story Green Alien Slime

    Green Alien Slime Supplies:

    • 5 oz clear glue
    • ½ cup water
    • Green coloring – I used soap colorant but you can use food coloring, paint, or pigment too!
    • Green extra fine glitter
    • ½ teaspoon baking soda
    • 1 tablespoon contact solution
    • 3 googly eyes
    • slime container
    • blue construction paper

    Green Alien Slime Instructions

    DIY Alien Slime Step 1

First, you want to pour 5oz of the clear glue into a container.

    Alien Slime Step 2

Add ½ cup of water and then stir.  Keep stirring until the glue is totally mixed/broken down into the water.

Next, add your coloring.  For the green alien slime use a green (the slime in the pictures uses soap colorant in kiwi) colorant and add some glitter.  Make sure to mix this well.

    Slime Step 4

Now we are going to add in the baking soda which thickens the slime.  Add ½ tsp of baking soda.  And mix in a bit less than 1 tablespoon of contact solution.  Mix everything together.

    Slime Step 5

Your slime should start to thicken almost instantly.  Keep stirring while it thickens, then let it sit for a minute.

When your slime starts to pull away from the bowl, take it out and knead it.  Don’t worry if it’s still a little sticky.

    Homemade Alien Slime

You can now put your slime into a container and add 3 googly eyes to the top of it.   Then use the blue construction paper and cut out a strip of it to add to the bottom of the container.  You can tape this in place.
